Tip of the day #2 - sharing external media / externe Medien einfügen

Currently we do support approx. 60 external sites and its content to be shared within our forums.

Just to name a few ... besides the mostly known ones such as youtube, facebook, twitter, instagram, we do support as well various news websites such as National Geographic Channel, BBC News as well gaming related websites such as Gamespot or sport websites such as NBC Sports and of course many others such as steam store publishments, reddit, SoundCloud, ,vimeo or kickstarter up to pastebin and imgur for perhaps technical matters.

Most of these sites do feature a "share button". Just copy the displayed link inside of your forum post. If you preview your post you will instantly notice if the external media format is supported by our system.

Keep in mind, only copy and paste the link, do not put any additional board features (BBC codes) around, such as [ b ] or [ url ] or anything.

At the bottom right of any video being display in youtube, you will find a share button:

Selecting the share button will open an additional dialog box displaying a link you just copy to your clipboard:

Copy and pasting it into your forum post just as it is. Below an example how it would look like posting your favourite vid(s). Want to see some ancient stuff?

Aktuell unterstützen wir mehr als 60 externe Medienseiten um deren Inhalte in unserem Forum einzubinden.

Und immer beachten nur den Link einzufügen. Dieser darf nicht von zusätzliche Funktionen unseres Forums umgeben sein (sogenannte BBC codes), wie zum Beispiel [ b ] [oder [ url ].

Jedes angezeigte Video hat unten rechts einen Teilen Button:

Es öffnet sich ein weiteres Fenster mit einem Link und ihr könnt diesen in die Zwischenablage kopieren:

Ein Beispiel wie ein eingebundenes Video aussehen kann, seht ihr weiter oben im englischen Text.

Edit: Nope, doesn't work for me. Did everything as described.
Just in case I also tried to deactivate automatic BBCode and URLs in the options menu below the text editor. Doesn't work either.
