Battlefield 3: Possible Release Time Period

industrygamers.com held an interview with Mr. John Riccitiello, CEA of Electronic Arts. According to the public information about this interview, EA schedules a Battlefield 3 release in the second half of 2011. The first half will be reserved for 3rd party action shooter like Crysis 2 and Bulletstorm.

From the strategic point of view, EA will try again to take back market shares from shooter products such as the Call of Duty series.

Most likely we are going to receive more insights and possibly image or video material latest at the developers conference in San Francisco in 2011. This particular show will take place from the 28th of february to the 4th of march 2011.

Karl Magnusson, developer at DICE will present more details about the Frostbite 2 Engine used for Battlefield 3.
