NVA Base Changes
Changes to control points if they are under NVA possession:
Old French Fort
- one additional PT76 vehicle, spawns right next to the existing one
- one additional ZSU vehicle
Village Camp
- one additional T54, spawns in front of the existing one
Lang Vei Checkpoint
- one additional BM21 will spawn, whenever NVA manages to take this point
USA Base Changes
- Cobra removed, UH1 Assault instead
- additional Quad for Anti Air defence
- second Sheridan tank, spawns to the right of the existing one
Changes to control points if they are under US possession:
Lang Vei Checkpoint
- one additional Sheridan tank, this will make it harder for the NVA to take this point, or it can be an additional fast force in range for the Village flag defence
Once the NVA took the village and spawns two T54 in there, US will have a hard job to keep the checkpoint and stop the NVA forces towards the US main base. However, only spawing tanks at the main would be to weak, since it will take a minute to bring them into the front line. In addition, if NVA also covers the French Fort, two more PT76 will be in the game. So enough vehicle power build up at this burning zone.
Village Camp
- one additional MUTT jeep, this way there will be three, allowing a valid anti air in the early stage if the typical NVA parachute invasion will take place
Together with the two jeeps at the Lang Vei Checkpoint this makes in total 5 car vehicles in this area, enough spread into all directions.
Old French Fort
- one additional Sheridan, since the US does hold all the control points at the beginning of the game, it will make life harder for NVA infantry to just "walk over" and take this point, of course if US players play it right. So a tank in place will help to keep the first defence up. If the NVA air support will arrive, the existing MUTTs need to help.
So the overall changes push this map towards a more intense combined air + ground battle. Furthermore the "gay" Cobra chopper is out of the game. The UH1 Transporter remains, good to deploy troops.
